They’ve got enough atom bombs – they had in the 1960s, and they got even more now - but in the 1960s, they had enough atom bombs to blow up everybody on the planet 1,700 times. Now they probably have enough to blow us up a million times, to make sure there are no electrons attached to any nucleus of our atoms… You know they could blow us up as many times as they want. The people with shotguns… that think they’re going to overthrow that, they’re living in a dream world. They’re living in the nineteenth century. But they can be overthrown. They can be overthrown by information. 1s and 0s. Computer data. The Gulf War was postponed for five days. Bush came on television - the first Bush, George the First - came on television and said he was giving Saddam Hussein five days to think it over. And that was really because all the computers in the Pentagon were down and they didn’t know. They thought Saddam Hussein had these evil scientists working in Iraq and putting down American computers… It turned out to be a fifteen year old in, I think, Iowa or one of those places that nobody ever goes. A fifteen year old and his computer delayed the war for five days. That just goes to show what can be done with computers non-violently. This to me is much more powerful than Ghandi’s passive resistance.
