charlie kaufman got an oscar. that's great. even though it is for his least good script; it's still nice. Eternal Sunshine is a good movie, but far from the irony and subtle humour of adaptation and not half as crazy as Being Malkovich. It's like abra los ojos and vanilla sky: afraid to lose the audience they explain very carefully what's going on. over and over again. but eternal sunshine is still a very good movie (a lot more than we can say of vanilla sky) and charlie may be able to get more money and directors.
